Valentine’s Day is a (~)week away 💕
One of the most heartfelt and meaningful ways you can show love to your special someone is by making something delicious from your kitchen.
We talked about this over the Holidays last year and bears mentioning again… in an age where “anything” can be bought online, few things convey the heartfelt intention of spending your precious time to make something delicious for someone else.
As chocolate is one of the most popular Valentine’s Day gifts, I asked my good friend BowtiedDuvet to drop his treasured recipe for Chocolate Chess Pie.
I’ve known BowtiedDuvet since the early days of the Bowtied Jungle, which began in mid-2020. Duvet is probably one of the smartest people I’ve met. Throw any random question out, esp related to science or dentistry, and he will know the answer or have some sort of study to sight as reference 😂 . (Spoiler: he’s not even a dentist).
Add to that his love for good food, esp tinned seafood, wine, and is also an avid home-baker.
I discovered the homebaking when we were dm’ing about something dessert related and he mentioned his “chocolate chess pie” recipe. Chess Pie is a national treasure… so Chocolate Chess Pie has to be an equal or at least a rival.
Not needing to reinvent the wheel, the proof was in the pics and he is kindly sharing a recipe that he has truly dialed in (as you’ll see in the recipe notes).
Without further ado, here’s BowtiedDuvet’s Chocolate Chess Pie… in time to make your Valentine’s Day (or any other day this year) a one to remember 🙌 🤤
