I’m talking about, Hummus
Don’t delete yet, because this is truly one of those food items that has been mainstream popular and suffered from below-par execution and flavor.
Being somewhat a contrarian, when I started seeing cauliflower hummus, parsnip hummus.. and then chocolate hummus 🤦♂️ I avoided at all costs on party platters, dinner parties and potlucks.
The issue? Was never wowed by the texture or flavor… until I discovered the real deal.
It wasn’t until the last 5 or so years that Octopod had hummus that changed my mind from the eye roll, overhyped, supermarket bonanza of 15 different flavors… to having a near transcendental experience. Luscious, smooth, with a nutty depth of flavor contrasted with rounding acidity and some spice undertones.

One important note: this preparation is gluten free, dairy free, and 100% Vegan. Octo doesn’t have Vegan eating as a priority in general, but if you have an event or friends coming over… this will satisfy every carnivore in the room… 100% guaranteed. As vegan diets are very confining, if you are vegan, I’d be making batches of this (you can freeze leftovers for later use), and have it as a regular go to.
