Update on Shipping/Final Cut-off's

Sending this status update on the Founder’s Octo Knife Release. Please read if you have purchased or had considered purchasing.

Initial Orders

First, to those that have placed your orders and supported as Founding Members, THANK YOU 🙏

This is Octo’s first dip into Ecommerce and as much as you can plan, you never know what to expect.

The initial support has been amazing!

Cut-Off for Orders

I’ve been contacted by many of you who want to support as Founding Members and receive your own Octo “Few” Knife, but the timing isn’t right.

For this reason, I am setting a Final Date to Purchase of October 15th

This will give those plenty of time to arrange things if needed. If' you’re thinking of Winter Holiday gifts for 2021, this would be a great option.

If you are already a member, you can easily upgrade to a Founding member by going to your Substack account and changing your subscription

Supply

Due to the initial surge of support, the initial run Octo secured was sold through quickly. Again, as a first run for an Ecommerce project, Octo did (what I thought) a reasonable quantity run with some wiggle room in case extras were sold… a lot more sold, quickly. A great problem to have, and more are being produced in Japan as we speak, which is why I’ve placed the final cut-off for October 15th.

Shipping

The first batch of knives shipped last Friday. These were sent in priority of First-Orders, and Those I have Received Shipping Info From. If you received a tracking number from me, your knife is on the way and was sent Fed-Ex 2 day.

For those that have ordered, and not received a tracking number, there is a supply chain issue. I appreciate your patience as Octo is learning. The production, branding, overseas shipping to reach Octo is all in progress but not at the speed I would like. I am optimistic from all the moving parts involved that your knives will ship out the First week of November, and you will have your Knife in plenty of time to warm up for all your Holiday Feasts this year.

*For overseas shipping, I will calculate 2-3 days before sending, and let you know of any supplemental shipping.

TLDR

-First run of knives have been shipped and tracking numbers sent to recipients

-Remaining Orders Will Ship, FedEx 2-day, first week of Nov at latest.

-If you are on the fence or needed some time to place an order, deadline is Oct 15th

*Don’t forget, not too early to think about Holiday Gifts.
