In case you missed it, here’s a wrap of what dropped in February…
Thailand Travels 🇹🇭
I was able to spend a few weeks in Thailand and fell in love with the food, flavors and culture.
Starting in Bangkok, then moving up to Chiang Mai (home of Khao Soi & Laap) and finishing on the beaches of Phuket, I dropped Part 1 giving some must-try food stops in Bangkok, travel tips and places to see. (stay tuned for Chiang Mai & Phuket reports)
If you’ve ever been curious about Thailand and SE Asian flavors, def check this out
Seafood Stew 🐠 🦐
This recipe drop was greeted with a lot of DM’s and messages back reporting success.
Taking flavors of the Mediterranean and giving you tips for perfectly cooking seafood makes this Seafood Stew a year-round recipe to have in your weekly line-up. 🤤
Valentine’s Day Treats
Since February is the month of romance, there were (3) dessert recipe drops that are all stunning.
First up was long-awaited guide to Chocolate Soufflé.
This classic preparation has been branded as a notoriously tricky preparation. This does not have to be the case and I gave a complete step-by-step guide to making this show-stopper.
I even explain how most restaurants cheat making souffle and how you can make a legit, perfect souffle for you and the special people in your life. 🙌
In case that wasn’t enough chocolate, I had my good friend BowtiedDuvet do a guest post for his famous Chocolate Chess Pie.
A blend of humor, detail and baking autism all combined to make a pie that would make any choco-holic swoon. 🍫
He even drops a crust shortcut for those not wanting to deal with the pastry part.
Either version is absolutely binge-worthy.
Speaking of chocolate… I dropped my favorite chocolate maker in the world 🌍 on Twitter in a thread, so if you missed that… check out why I love this chocolate maker.
Wrapping up the sweets of February was an indulgent Brown Butter Carrot Cake, brought to you by BowtiedCommoner.
Commoner is a young homecook who has discovered the joys of both brown butter and cream cheese frosting.
She will never have a shortage of friends with recipes like these 😂
Common Sense Podcast
Ironically the Carrot Cake drop came from a conversation I had with Commoner after recording a guest spot on her Common Sense podcast.
We spent over an hour talking all things food, cooking, big ag farming, restaurants and more.
She has already interviewed a number of guests from all walks of life so check out this episode and follow her on YouTube or Spotify for further releases. Commoner is a great host, asks well thought out questions and is a joy to talk with.
We ended the month with a drop of some of my favorite cookbooks from 2022
If you’re a cookbook freak like me, here’s a few recommendations to help you navigate through the sea of book releases every year.
Technically it was March but the latest recipe drop for Arroz con Pollo was so mind-blowing and soulfully delicious I want to drop it here again so you can add this iconic recipe and preparation to your cooking life.
No words… this dish transcends words.
March is gonna be a good one…
Stay tuned for Meatloaf, chicken livers, a Pizza & Wine Guide… plus much more 🙌
